The former England striker has made a spectacular start to his Hyundai A-League career, scoring four goals in the opening four games to help propel the Jets up to second on the ladder.

But defender Van den Brink and midfielder Miller are both keenly aware that the Jets are by no means a one-man band.

"There's no-one we're going to single out," said Miller. "We'll look at them as a team and take it from there.

"They are probably full of confidence at the moment and will be coming here looking to turn us over, but we are very strong at home.

"We've made it a fortress, so hopefully we can play our game and get the win."

Those sentiments were echoed by Van den Brink who is set to return to the starting XI this week in place of Steve Pantelidis, whose red card in Sunday's defeat at Sydney FC earned him a one-match suspension.

"It's going to be a difficult task," he said. "But I think they've got a good side anyway, even without Heskey.

"He's now the main man scoring goals and we'll have to be very careful with him, but they've just got a generally good side with (Ryan) Griffiths and (Craig) Goodwin who's doing well right now.

"We have to focus on their overall quality and not just one person, but at home I think we can be a lot stronger than they are."

Jacob Burns will doubtless be charged with shackling Heskey should the Jets' marquee opt to drop into a slightly deeper role on Saturday night and Miller was quick to praise the man with whom he has forged such an effective partnership in Glory's midfield engine room.

"I enjoy playing in there with Burnsy," he said.

"He's a quality player and we play well off each other. We've got that experience now having played with each other for the last year and a bit and if we keep playing like we did at the weekend, the wins will come."

As it stands, Burns is already just one yellow card away from suspension, a situation that prompted Glory coach Ian Ferguson to publicly criticise the overall standard of A-League refereeing earlier this week.

Miller, however, would not be drawn on whether the increasingly popular notion of introducing match officials from overseas would help raise those standards.

"It's a tough one," he said. "They (referees) have a tough job to do and if they get a decision wrong, everyone jumps on them.

"Maybe bringing refs in from abroad is something they could do to get the consistency better, but it's hard to say."

Meanwhile, Shane Smeltz will again be unavailable for Glory this weekend as he continues to nurse a hamstring tear, but Van den Brink feels that the men in purple have the personnel to cover the Kiwi striker's ongoing absence.

"I don't know when Shane will be back," he said. "But Billy has done really well so far. He's been scoring goals as well and just as the Jets can't rely just on Heskey, we can't rely just on Shane.

"We've got plenty of quality in the squad to fill that gap up."
