DAVE Mitchell has seen an unhappy cocktail of injury and illness limit his selection options for Perth Glory's pre-season clash against Gold Coast United on Saturday.
Glory may have caused quite a stir with their recruitment drive but the coach doesn't have the luxury of a full squad to choose from.
He has his fingers crossed over a number of players who are nursing colds while others have niggles that need to be monitored.
Branko Jelic and Jacob Burns are both unlikely to play against Gold Coast while Eugene Dadi has a slight hamstring worry.
Andy Todd and Wayne Shroj both missed training as well leaving Mitchell to look at the club's youth ranks to bolster his squad for the clash in Bunbury.
He told The West Australian: "We've dipped into our youth squad before and some of Kenny Lowe's players, so we might have to do that again this weekend."
