Nagoya Grampus Eight coach Serf Vergoosen has criticised the scheduling of the J-League after seeing his depleted side slump to their second consecutive defeat.
Grampus topped the table after winning their first four games, but defeats at the hands of Sanfrecce Hiroshima and Omiya Ardija in the past two weeks have seen them slip down the standings.
A crucial factor in those defeats has been the loss of key players, such as Keisuke Honda, to Japan for their qualifying matches for next year's Olympic Games in Beijing.
Asia's Olympic qualifiers are not played on FIFA-endorsed dates, meaning clubs often contest league games without their best young players.
"It is absolutely unbelievable to me that this can happen, not only to us but to the other teams too," said Vergoosen.
"It is not fair and it is not correct."
