RICKI Herbert says only a unified approach will lift Wellington Phoenix from the A-League basement after a miserable couple of weeks.
A 4-2 home defeat was followed by a 3-0 thrashing at Adelaide United on Saturday.
Herbert condemned his side's failure to compete while skipper Andrew Durante bluntly described the defeat as 'garbage'.
The coach is anxious to avoid finger-pointing and sulking and has issued the 'all in it together' cry.
He told the Phoenix official website: "We’ve got to knuckle back down and keep working on it.
“We’ve gone away from what we were doing well – working hard and working together. The only way things are going to turn around is by us working as a unit, with a unified approach.
“These times can be important for everybody and everyone has to be on the same page. Work-rate, energy, enthusiasm – that’s what needs to be shown by everybody.”
