JAMES Holland has said his goodbyes to Newcastle Jets and is set to pen a four-year deal with AZ Alkmaar once he completes a medical with the Dutch leaders.
The Olyroo youngster is on his way to the Netherlands today and admits he is still struggling to take it all in.
He told the Herald: "It's unbelievable. It's my dream. I could be playing Champions League next year maybe."
After a week on trial at the club, Almaar officials phoned just before Christmas to give Holland the good news.
The Jets have agreed to a transfer figure, thought to to be in excess of $650,000, and only the medical and a few points of Holland's contract are to be finalised.
Holland said: "Hopefully it is all done pretty quickly. I'm a bit anxious but more excited.
"I'm not scared. This is what I want. I want to show them I am not intimidated and can make it at that level."
