Keisuke Honda secured his first win as a manager in a 3-1 win over Laos, ending Cambodia's 5814-day losing streak in the Suzuki Cup.
Despite the win, Cambodia were eliminated from the competition after Myanmar and Vietnam played out a 0-0 draw leaving Cambodia unable to finish in the top two of Group A.

Chan Vanthanaka put the Angkor Warriors in the lead after a glancing header in the 18th minute.
The A-League marquee's side doubled their lead later in the second half from the penalty spot, as Prak Mony Udom fired the spot-kick straight down the middle.
Honda's counterpart Laos coach V. Sundramoorthy was sent to the stands by referee Nathan Chan just before halftime for some strong words towards the officials after the penalty decision.

Laos clawed one back in the 76th minute however, Cambodia restored their two-goal lead just a minute later thanks to midfielder Sokpheng Keo, as the game finished 3-1.
The Melbourne Victory man will be hoping Cambodia's first victory in the competition since 2002 is a sign for things to come in his first foray into management.
