To see Glory at training...

The defender flew back from China and was immediately called into action for Perth's opener against Adelaide United last weekend - coming off the bench in a 1-0 defeat.

It came rather sooner than he would have liked but a week on from the Olyroos' exit, he is feeling much better.

He told watoday.com.au: "Personally I would have liked a week off to have some time to myself, wanted a week away from football, but Mitch needed me.

"I am contracted to Perth Glory, so if he needed me, I was always going to be on the plane.

"It was my first (training) session on Wednesday, so I have given myself a week to get my head around it and then I will be fine.

"It has been quite difficult but professional footballers just have to battle through it and deal with it."

Coach Dave Mitchell has stressed the important of his Olyroo duo (Topor-Stanley and Nikita Rukavytsya) looking forward not back.

"We have had bits and pieces all over the shop," said Mitchell. "Now they have to focus well and truly on the A-League now and with Perth Glory. It is important they get their heads right.

"But now they are a part of it we have got to get them into the system as quick as possible and make them feel part of the squad again. It has been a problem, but it is nice to have them back."
