India have formally withdrawn their interest in hosting the 2011 AFC Asian Cup, leaving Qatar as the only country to have lodged an official bid.
The only other nation to have expressed an interest in hosting the event was Iran, but they have not yet submitted their application to hold the tournament, according to a statement on the Asian Football Confederation's official website.
The bidding may still be re-opened if Qatar do not meet all of the AFC's requirements to host the event.
An official decision on the 2011 tournament will be announced on the day of this year's Asian Cup final on July 29.
