FORMER Melbourne Victory defender Simon Storey has landed in a patch of Thistles - but he's not complaining.
The 25-year-old has been given until December 15 to win himself a longer-term contract with Scottish Division One outfit Partick Thistle.
Storey has enjoyed a successful trial spell with the club and can now look forward to cementing a more permanent deal at Firhill.
The Melbourne-born player helped the Victory to Grand Final success last season before seeking a fresh challenge.
A product of the Victorian Institute of Sport, Storey was the state’s under 21 player of the year back in 2003.
A Jags spokesman said: “All at Firhill wish Simon every success in what we hope will be a prolonged spell playing with Partick Thistle.”
Storey adds to an Aussie contingent in Scotland that already includes the likes of Scott McDonald (Celtic) and Danny Invincibile (Kilmarnock).
