NEWCASTLE Jets are poised to offer boss Branko Culina an extended stay in the Hunter with the new regime keen to retain the experienced coach.
With the club's future finally secure, the focus is turning back to football.
The new regime appears keen to retain Branko Culina as part of its vision. The coach's current deal expires at the end of the season.
"We haven't tabled an offer to Branko yet, but we've had considerable discussions on a range of things," executive chairman Ken Edwards told the Newcastle Herald.
"We expect to table an offer late in the week and won't be making any other [future] appointments [assistant coach, goalkeeping coach and strength and conditioning coach] until we resolve that one way or the other."
Culina himself is more concerned on the immediate challenges and trying to find replacements to cover injuries.
Both Michael Bridges and Jobe Wheelhouse will be sidelined for several weeks but a move for Joel Griffiths as a potential guest player looks unlikely at this stage.
