Joel Griffiths could be sidelined for up to a month, Jason Hoffman has damaged his knee and Edmundo Zura missed the defeat by Adelaide United after recieving an injection for a back problem.

Youngster Jason Naidovski is the only other forward on the books at EnergyAustralia Stadium.

Coach Gary van Egmond told The Herald: "We have to see what we can do with regards to the rules and regulations, whether we have to promote from within the youth team or whether we can look to get someone in.

"The FFA have tightened up the laws with regard to injury replacements.

"But there is a clause that covers extenuating circumstances, like if you have lost your marquee player or a couple of important players.

"We will discuss our options as a club and make a decision from there."

Hoffman meanwhile is gutted at the timing of his injry. He said: "It was my third consecutive start, and I felt like I was getting into the rhythm of things and getting used to the pace."
