NEWCASTLE Jets boss Gary van Egmond is confident this week will see some new faces at the club with Dutch winger Kevin Bobson a confirmed target.
The current champions have lost the likes of Jade North, Joel Griffiths and Mark Milligan with imports Edmundo Zura and Jesper Hakansson having also departed.
It leaves plenty of spots to fill but the coach has his fingers crossed that the next few days could finally see some good news.
Van Egmond has done his homework on Bobson, recently with Saltzburg, and the Jets boss believes the player has both the mentality and quality to fit in at the club.
It's whether he can afford him.
Sasho Petrovski and Ang Costanzo are thought to be close to agreeing deals with the club though.
Sydney FC's Nik Tsattalios is expected to join the Jets for training this week but as first revealed by au.fourfourtwo.com last week, Mile Sterjovski will not be heading for EnergyAustralia Stadium.
Van Egmond told the Herald: "By the time Thursday comes you should see a number of fresh faces."
