EXCLUSIVE Adelaide's Lucas Pantelis says home advantage won't be a factor when Queensland Roar head to Newcastle this weekend for the A-League preliminary final.
“I would not rule out Queensland Roar. They've got a really good chance. I believe Danny Tiatto is back from suspension and Reinaldo is ready to play,” Pantelis told au.fourfourtwo.com.
“Roar have been a great side. Their defensive four is unbelievable and very hard to break down. And their midfield just buzz – Murdocca, Matty McKay who just run for more than just 90 minutes.”
Midfielder Pantelis says it's the middle of the park which is where this “million dollar” game will be decided.
“If Newcastle can get control of the midfield and get some service to Joel Griffiths. It depends on who has that extra 5% in the tank to really get a grip of the midfield which will be the key.”
Melbourne Victory's Danny Allsopp says: “Home advantage was proved to be good for us last year. We did well at home in the finals and went away to Adelaide and got the draw.
“I guess home advantage is quite important but like most of this season and the finals, you couldn't really pick a winner. It's pretty tight... it's hard to pick a winner.”
