GOLD Coast United midfielder Jonas Salley faces a two-match ban for 'serious foul play' on Sydney FC attacker Dimitri Petratos during Sunday's A-League clash at Skilled Park.
The Ivory Coast-born 29-year-old was offered the suspension after the match review panel sat on Tuesday, ruling the challenge worthy of suspension.
Salley, who is on an injury replacement deal with the bottom-placed club, has until midday Wednesday to appeal the ban, or he will miss Gold Coast's clashes against Adelaide United and Brisbane Roar.
The minimum sanction for the offence of 'serious foul play' is one match.
