EXCLUSIVE: Queensland Roar defender Josh McCloughan has no doubt the club's strikers will be rewarded for their after hours work.
While Charlie Miller has found his scoring touch in the A-League, it has been more of a struggle for the likes of Sergio Van Dijk and Reinaldo.
Van Dijk has found the net just once with Reinaldo, currently out of the side through injury, yet to score this season.
McCloughan, who earned praise from Frank Farina for his weekend performance against Newcastle Jets, says the most important thing for players is belief and that remains firmly in tact.
He told au.fourfourtwo.com: "The guys up front are working very, very hard.
"I think if you continue to work hard then good things will happen. Let me say that these guys (the strikers) are never the first in the showers after training.
"They stay on the field and they practise and practise.
"I was speaking to Moorey (Craig Moore) the other day and he was saying that sometimes it becomes that bit easier when the first one goes in."
McCloughan is now looking for his team to show some consistency in the A-League and string a series of results together.
Unbeatable away, all too brittle at home McCloughan knows that has to stop. He joked: "You wouldn't want to be a punter following us."
