Karlsruhe have signed controversial defender Dino Drpic on loan from Croatian side Dinamo Zagreb until the end of the season.
The 27-year-old Drpic, who had been transfer listed by Dinamo for repeated breaches of discipline, will act as cover for captain Maik Franz who is likely to be out for several months after heel surgery.
Drpic told the club's official website: "I am looking forward to Karlsruhe and the Bundesliga. I spoke on the phone with (Croatia coach) Slaven Bilic, who played here himself.
"He am sure that KSC is a very professionally-led club. I am sure that I, together with KSC, will leave behind a positive impression in the Bundesliga.
"I can barely wait to play my first game."
