Speaking after the loss to Victory, Kosmina said his coaching future was not something he'd lose too much sleep over.

The visitors tossed away an early two-goal lead to end up with nothing to show for their efforts.

Kosmina said: "If I'm going to lose my job over it, I'll lose my job over it."

With new owners at Moore Park, speculation is growing that Kosmina may not be in the coaching hotseat at the club next season.

That said, stability in the coaching ranks is something the club craves after Kosmina's arrival in late 2007 made it the sky blues' fourth coach in three seasons.

"I won't lose any sleep over it because that's just football," Kosmina added of his future in the dugout.

Reflecting on the dramatic loss, Kosmina said going ahead by two goals so early may've not been the best thing for his side.

He said: "Look it was too good a start," he said of the four minute blitz that saw Shannon Cole and Brendan Gan stun the 25,000 plus crowd.

"I was calling out to Fyfey [defender Iain Fyfe] 'it's still 0-0 forget about the result''. We needed to remain focused and we lost a little bit of, I guess, attention with their first goal and Melbourne built in confidence.

"We played some decent football and created some good opportunities.

"Brosquey [Alex Brosque] had a one-on-one in the first half and did well to earn a second chance in the second half for which Michael [Theoklitos] made two very good saves."
