Two late goals denied J.League leaders Shimizu S-Pulse victory as they were held to a 2-2 draw at FC Tokyo today.
Yasuhiro Hiraoka headed home in the 26th minute before Jungo Fujimoto's 68th-minute free-kick to put the visitors in a commanding position.
However, Yuto Nagatomo pulled one back in the 85th minute and substitute Toshihiro Matsushita equalised two minutes later with a deflected shot to rescue a point for FC Tokyo.
The draw means Shimizu have 25 points, three ahead of Nagoya Grampus who play Kashima Antlers at Toyota Stadium tomorrow.
Borussia Dortmund-bound Shinji Kagawa scored deep in first-half injury time as Cerezo Osaka edged Vissel Kobe 2-1.
Kagawa curled home a free-kick to ensure he leaves Cerezo on a high after signing a three-year deal with Dortmund earlier this week.
"I don't usually take a free-kick but I really wanted to score in my last game for Cerezo, and that feeling made that shot successful," said Kagawa.
"I was not expecting that I would be able to play abroad so soon like this. I have come this far thanks to the support from the supporters and everyone.
"I would like to work hard to produce results in Germany and Europe and step up to a higher place."
Elsewhere, Albirex Niigata battled back from a goal down to beat Montedio Yamagata 3-1 for their fourth win in as many games.
Katsuyuki Miyazawa put Montedio ahead just before the half-hour mark but goals from Marcio Richardes, Isao Homma and Cho Young-cheol sealed the win.
Finally, Kyoto Sanga drew 2-2 with Yokohama F Marinos and Vegalta Sendai shared a 1-1 draw with Urawa Reds.
