This is despite rumours that Perth Glory are keen to tempt him west ahead of next season’s campaign.

The Brisbane outfit resumes training early next week and Reddy is expected to be among the group being put through its paces along with fellow keeper McMaster.

Club chief executive Lawrence Oudendyk says there is nothing sinister in the fact that a deal has not yet been completed.

He told the Brisbane Times: “There are no major issues there. We've been talking to his agent for a couple of weeks.

"It got interrupted when we went to Brazil (on a scouting mission) so we'll now have to take it up again.”

Adelaide United's Robbie Bajic has been linked with the Roar should Reddy depart but that isn’t a scenario the club is contemplating. Oudendyk said: "We haven't spoken to Robbie Bajic.”

The club is hoping to secure deals for two Brazilian players, possibly from its partnership club Atletico Miniero.

There are several international slots free in the Roar squad following the departures of Reinaldo, Marcinho and Simon Lynch.

As yet, the only new faces are state league recruits Tim Smits and David Dodd.
