EXCLUSIVE: Gold Coast United bosses have already made plenty of off-field noise and now fans are heading for 'The Beach' to pump up the volume in the stands at Skilled Park.
The Gold Coast United Supporters Club (GCUSC) is up, running and keen to provide Miron Bleiberg's boys with plenty of vocal backing.
The Beach will be the home end for supporters who gather in Bay 30 at the ground although a name for those gathered there has yet to be established but The White Shoe Brigade name has definitely been ruled out.
Gold Coast United Supporters Club secretary Terry Hands was delighted with the estimated 1500 assembled behind the goal for the inaugural home game against North Queensland Fury.
"We had around 1,500 behind the goal for the first match and it was fantastic to have people singing loud and proud," Hands told au.fourfourtwo.com.
"I think The Beach is very Gold Coast and when you have all that yellow together behind a goal, I think it's a good choice."
The GCUSC has sought advice from Sydney FC's Cove on a number of issues and is hoping to tee up a Beach versus Cove friendly before the A-League encounter on September 5.
Gold Coast need to turn interest and hype into bums on seats to succeed and the GCUSC is urging sports-lovers to get along to Skilled Park and see what all the fuss is about.
"I think the message to the people of the Gold Coast is to come along and form an opinion for themselves and not to be swayed by the perceptions of others," said Hands.
"Personally, I like the way Miron Bleiberg wants to put out a team to 'have a go' to attack. It's refreshing."
While The Beach is designed to offer a spot for those who want to sing their hearts out, Hands insists he wants to be part of a club that embraces all football watchers.
"We want to be inclusive and have the Gold Coast flocking into the ground to get behind the team from all sides of the ground," said Hands.
Owner Clive Palmer has made bold predictions about an unbeaten season. Hands doesn't see that happening but is confident the dream will remain alive for at least another week.
Hands added: "I know Jason Culina will be looking forward to getting the better of Branko. I'm going to go for a 2-0 win over the Jets.
"I believe there's a few making the trip to Newcastle so it's great that we've already got people backing the team away as well."
