Good evening everyone and thanks for joining us here in Sydney's inner west.

A bit of early drama with the floodlights going out but power appears to have been restored and the teams are warming up.

Hot off the press, here is the Central Coast Mariners starting XI: Danny Vukovic, Nigel Boogaard, Alex Wilkinson, Chris Doig, Dean Heffernan, Pedj Bojic, John Hutchinson, Ahmad Elrich, Gary Wales, Adrian Caceres, Nik Mrdja.

On the bench for the Mariners: Andrew Redmayne, Lim Dong Sup (triallist), David D'Apuzzo, Adam Kwasnik, Milos Lujic (triallist Richmond VPL) and Nick Travis.

Sydney FC Starting XI: Clint Bolton, Simon Colosimo, Karol Kisel, Shannon Cole, Matt Jurman, Byun Sung Hwan, Terry McFlynn, Brendan Gan, Kofi Danning, Alex Brosque, John Aloisi.

Sydney FC subs: Ivan Necevski, Mitch Prentice, Stuart Musialik, Adam Casey, Chris Payne, Rhyan Grant.

1 - We're underway. Both teams have new faces with Byun for Sydney and Gary Wales and Doig getting a run for the Mariners.

3 - Poor back pass almost catches Sydney out and Cole has to head clear from the advancing Mrdja.

5 - Sydney attack down the lft and Byun almost threads ball through to Sanning in the box but cross is intercepted.

7 - Danning attacks down the right flank, teed up by Kisel, and his cross into six yard box is headed clear by Boogaard.

10 - Mariners free-kick in centre circle. No real rhythm to the game as yet. Boogaard slip almost lets in Brendan Gan but Vukovic coolly takes ball round the attacker and clears.

13 - Aloisi shot on edge of the area is blocked at expense of a corner. It comes to nothing though with the Mariners able to clear.

15 - Brosque looks like he's flattened 20 metres out but no free-kick given. Still no side either to put sustained pressure together but Sydney look more promising in attack.

18 - Sydney free-kick from the left is cleared, Mariners charge down the right, cross from the right byline by Bojic is headed clear.

19 - Gan cross from the left picks out Aloisi but the marquee man's effort rolls well wide of the left post under pressure.

22 - Mariners still to produce an effort on goal. Sydney enjoying far more possession but not really making anything of it.

24 - Danning charges down the right and his cross deflects out for a corner. The Mariners clear the set piece.

26 - Sydney should be one up. Gan's cross from the left is volleyed goalwards by Kisel and Danning can't squeeze ball inside left post.

29 - Vukovic comes out to clear with a spectacular diving header on the edge of the box but the flag was up against Aloisi.

31 - Bojic lofts cross into the area but Bolton rises to gather.

33 - Mrdja turns on edge of the area but goes down under challenge. Free-kick right in the D. A great chance for the Mariners.

34 - A decent effort from Mrdja. His strike whistles just past the join of left post and crossbar - well at least it looked close from this angle!

36 - Caceres floats in free-kick from the right but there's too much pace on it and it drifts out for a goalkick.

39 - Good sliding challenge by Cole to thwart Elrich on left edge of the area. Still not a great deal to get excited about folks.

42 - Some excitement! Sydney cross from the right and a Mariners defender plants a tremendous header against his own crossbar. Closest we've been to a goal.

44 - A terrific Sydney move ends with a low strike from McFlynn pushed away to his right by Vukovic. The game's come alive. Kiss of death or what....

45 - HALF-TIME: SYDNEY FC 0 CENTRAL COAST MARINERS 0

Worryingly, there doesn't appear to be anyone appearing in the press box with a half-time cuppa. I'm sure Mr Airs will go and get one for me......

Anyway, enough my tea moaning. Hardly a classic as matches go. Sydney much the better in possession although their closest effort was courtesy of a Dean Heffernan header!

New man Byun Sung-Wan has looked promising down the left for Sydney.

As for the Mariners, it may well be that new boy (or soon to be unveiled I'm told) Nick Travis gets a run after the break.

The players are emerging for the second half. Just been told the attendance here at Leichhardt Oval is 1,540 - in case you're interested!

46 - No changes for either side.

47 - Aloisi attempts to get his head to Gan cross from the left, ball drops to Danning on the right, his cross back towards far post drifts out.

48 - Heffernan booked for bringing down Cole. Then applauds the ref. Not too sensible Deano.

49 - Brosque turns well in the box but can't get in the strike on Vukovic.

51 - Cole goes down in the area under challenge from Heffernan. No penalty.

52 - Brosque tees up Kisel who drives a low shot just wide of the right post.

54 - Byun cuts in from left but his cross is way off target and flies out for a goalkick.

56 - Heffernan powers forward, rides a couple of challenges but ball rolls out for a goal-kick on the left.

Mariners preparing to make changes. Sup and Lu coming on. Adam Casey looks like he's coming on for Sydney.

58 - McFlynn effort tipped round the left post by Vuko. Good strike, fine save.

61 - Mrdja and Elrich are the men to make way for the Mariners. Cole makes way for Casey.

65 - Sydney knocking the ball around confidently, another flowing move ends with Gan cross from the left and ball deflects through to Vuko. Some good stuff from Vitezslav's lads. No end product as yet though.

67 - Danning cross from the right finds Gan on edge of the area but he blazes over. Another sub for Mariners. Kwasnik on for Bojic.

70 - Brosque tees up McFlynn but his shot thuds into Doig and is cleared.

72 - Bolton punches clear and then gathers under pressure.

75 - Sub for Syndey. Off goes Aloisi to be replaced by Chris Payne.

77 - Casey cross headed goalwards by Brosque but easy for Vuko in the centre of his goal.

78 - McFlynn tries to push pass through to Brosque when he should have pulled the trigger himself. A great chance goes begging.

83 - Kisel shot pushed out by Vuko - he's had a decent game between the sticks.

84 - Travis on for the Mariners.

87 - Game is petering out here and looks like we're destined for a goalless draw. Hopefully that prediction will be followed by a goal.

90 - A last-gasp chance for Payne but the ball flashes wide of the right upright.

90 - Sadly, it didn't do the trick. There goes the whistle.
