EXCLUSIVE: Former Socceroo Ljubo Milicevic is still no closer to signing with a new club two months after leaving Melbourne Victory.
A source close to the former Perth Glory and FC Thun defender told au.fourfourtwo.com that Milicevic was “lying low but considering offers both locally and from overseas clubs.”
Milicevic, 27, was recently linked with Newcastle Jets with coach Gary Van Egmond an avowed fan of the elegant libero.
An offer was made but, evidently, Milicevic is still considering it.
The attraction of the Jets would include being part of an ACL campaign, meaning he’d be one of the few Australian players to have competed in both the AFC and UEFA champions leagues.
