Wheelhouse was stretchered from the field and rushed to hospital last night amid fears he had suffered either a break or fracture to the lower leg. He will now undergo further scans to reveal the full extent of the damage to his ankle.

Jets physiotherapist Adam Leslie this afternoon explained Wheelhouse's condition: "The X-rays that Jobe had late last night seem to indicate no break or fracture, which is pleasing at this stage."

"Jobe will undergo an MRI tomorrow morning to ascertain the exact extent of the damage done during last night's game, but we won't know how long he'll be sidelined for until those results are in."
