LAWRIE McKinna hit back at Jets skipper Jade North's barbs about the Mariners' playing style after Central Coast stormed into the Grand Final.

“There weren't too many long balls out there tonight,” he said in reference to comments made before the first leg.
“I think the other team were playing a few more long balls than us. In the first half we played some great one-two-touch football,” McKinna said after his side's impressive 3-0 win.
“Maybe I watch games through different glasses and see a different game to what a lot of people do but some of the football played tonight was good.
“It was probably our best performance but as a game and a performance we achieved everything we had to do. In our short history, it was our best performance.”
Adam Kwasnik, the scorer of the Mariners' first goal, felt the Jets wilted under the pressure game applied by the home side.
“I think they felt the pressure from the word go and they sat back and we played some good football and took advantage of that. But we have one more game to go
“We really need that break as we've a few boys struggling right now.”
The worst of the Mariners' medical woes are Tommy Pondeljak, who may be in doubt for the grand final with a knee problem, and Alvin Ceccoli who may have broken a toe. X-rays will reveal the true extent of both their injuries tomorrow.
Mile Jedinak, Nigel Boogaard and John Aloisi have strains but are expected to be fit for the grand final.
