The Glory defender has had a turbulent week, hit with a five game ban for unsporting conduct in the club's 5-2 defeat at Sydney FC.

He was then hit with a club fine and his coach believes it is a question of his defender finding the right balance.

Speaking today, Mitchell told thewest.com.au: "He’s a committed guy but he’s got to calm himself down in certain situations. The penalty situation was nothing to do with him so he shouldn’t have been anywhere near there.

“It’s that fire in the belly and ice in the mind, that’s what he’s got to have. He’s certainly got fire in the belly but he’s just got to have that calmness in the mind.”

Mitchell said the player had let himself and the club down by his actions at the SFS.
