DAVE Mitchell felt Perth Glory's margin of victory should have been greater with chances not taken during the club's 2-1 triumph over Wellington Phoenix at nib Stadium.
Mitchell opted to make two changes from the side that drew at Melbourne Heart last time out, Jamie Harnwell and Sterjovski returning at the expense of Josh Mitchell and Branko Jelic respectively, with Andy Todd making a first appearance of the campaign on the bench.
Mile Sterjovski gave Glory an early lead with Naum Sekulovski then seeing an effort ruled out.
It took until just past the hour for Robbie Fowler to give Glory the cushion of a second goal but Phoenix responded quickly to pull one back through Ben Sigmund.
"We made it hard for ourselves because we created enough chances but didn't capitalise on them.
"Credit to Wellington, they threw everyone up front and got one from a corner which made it a tight finish," Mitchell said.
The win puts Glory joint top with Adelaide United - same points, same goal difference.
