PERTH Glory boss Dave Mitchell was disappointed to lose at the death but couldn't fault his his team for effort in what he labelled a "great, end-to-end" A-League encounter.
Glory's slump continued as they crashed to a stoppage time goal from Brisbane Roar's Rocky Visconte.
"It's disappointing to lose it late; it was a tremendous effort and a great game that swung from end to end," Mitchell said.
Scott Neville, who had cancelled out Reinaldo's opener for Roar was devastated but vowed that the team would bounce back.
"We are down and dejected but we will pick ourselves up and be as strong as ever," Neville said.
It was also disappointing for club stalwart Jamie Harnwell, who was honoured for his achievement in breaking Bobby Despotovski's club appearance record with a presentation immediately after the final whistle.
