Moore didn’t train yesterday but finished his drills this morning and will be eased into further training tomorrow as the countdown to the clash against Sydney FC begins.

“Craig has done quite well this morning on a limited rehabilitation running drill so he’ll complete at least half of tomorrow’s skills session,” Ganter said.

“Providing he comes through that okay he’ll be able to complete the rest of the sessions and should be good to play on Sunday.”

Apart from a few niggling injuries the Roar squad has been given an encouraging clean bill of health with the business end of the season fast approaching.

Ganter said: “Massimo Murdocca has a little tightness in his groin so we’ll be keeping an eye on that and Danny Tiatto is looking good in his recovery program. If Danny can get through Friday’s session in full then he’ll be fit to play in Sydney.

“Tahj Minniecon has a slight ankle sprain that he picked up in training and will have a clinical review today even though the injury doesn’t look too bad at this stage.”

Roar today also confirmed the signing of former Preston Lions striker Zoran Petrevski until the end of the season.

The 28-year-old, brought in by Roar coach Frank Farina following an impressive month-long trial, was informed of the club’s intention to keep him on for the remainder of the season and was delighted.

“I came back after my trial as a replacement for Michael Zullo for two weeks and found out late last week that Frank wants me to stay for the rest of the season,” said Petrevski.

“I’m really excited and hopefully I’ll get the chance to play. I can play up front, or anywhere in attack really. I’ve been given a chance to be a part of the squad, so I have to be patient, train hard and keep doing what I’m doing.

“Obviously I impressed Frank enough for him to sign me for the rest of the season, and I feel I can impress him enough to be on the park one day. I’ve come into probably the most in-form team at the moment, so it’s overwhelming to be a part of it and hopefully I can show what I can do here.”

Having played at Preston Lions in the VPL last season, Petrevski won the coveted Jimmy Rooney Medal, awarded to the man of the match in the league’s grand final. He scored two of the three goals in the 3-1 win over Whittlesea, adding to his tally of 11 goals in his 19 games for the club.
