CRAIG Moore has returned to Queensland Roar less than a week after undergoing surgery for testicular cancer with a possible return to action against Sydney FC in a fortnight.
Moore was back at Ballymore to catch up with his colleagues and he's now preparing to ease himself back into some light running.
The Socceroos defender will meet up again with his urologist in a few weeks time to see if further treatment is required following the initial surgery but the player can't wait to get back into the action.
He told the Courier Mail: "Once I feel good within myself, there's no reason why I can't get back to doing what I normally do."
Frank Farina's men face Perth Glory this weekend but that will come too quickly for Moore.
He said: "The surgery scar, even if it has healed, will still be quite fresh. I'm not stupid. I'm not going to go into the game taking a chance."
Moore said Roar's match on Friday week against Sydney FC was a more realistic date to aim for.
