Mori, who is currently on a short-term playing deal with the Central Coast Mariners, has successfully led Adelaide City in the South Australian Super League as player-manager and now eyes a berth as an A-League coach.

“I’m putting a lot of time into my coaching and that’s where I’d really like to go next,” he said.

“I’ve been coaching now for the last four years and have had a fair bit of success. We’ve won the last three championships and in the last two years, we’ve won the Cup as well. I’m really concentrating hard on coaching.”

Mori still has at least four more weeks playing with the Mariners but says he’d jump at any coaching opportunity that may arise. He also says he would move anywhere in the country to take up an offer.

“I’d like to do it as soon as possible... sooner rather than later,"he said.

"I’ve put my time in coaching in the Super League and we’ve won six or seven trophies and I’ve been involved in the game a long time.

“I’m doing my apprenticeship in the lower leagues and hopefully the opportunity will come to coach in the A-League."

He added: “I’ll probably have to move out of South Australia if I want to coach but that’s not a problem.

"When you put yourself in the soccer world there’s no real home if you want the job.”
