JETS star Stuart Musialik has been found guilty of offensive and insulting, but not racist, abuse, and been banned for two matches with one week suspended.
Musialik was alleged to have called Melbourne Victory's Chilean defender Roddy Vargas "a f*cking monkey" during their match at the weekend.
He was called before an FFA disciplinary hearing to explain the remark this afternoon and found guilty on a charge of using offensive or insulting or abusive language and/or gestures.
"The disciplinary hearing found that the comments made by Musialik were not of a racist nature, but were deemed to be offensive or insulting or abusive," said an FFA spokesman.
"As a result Musialik received a two match suspension, of which one match will be suspended and will be activated should Musialik receive a caution or red card in his first match back from serving his suspension.
"Musialik will miss the Newcastle Jets Round 6 Hyundai A-League match against the Sydney FC.
"Musialik will be eligible for selection for the Newcastle Jets Round 7 fixture against the Central Coast Mariners at Bluetongue Stadium on Sunday 7 October 2007."
