Markelis, Finkler and Mauritius international Jonathan Bru were officially unveiled at AAMI Park alongside new Football Operations Manager Paul Trimboli.

Markelis was announced as a Victory player on Monday having spent the past four years in Europe plying his trade at Spanish giants Valencia and Italian outfit Vicenza.

And today the 20-year-old said he would try and cement his place in the team to try to help them push for another A-League title.

"I'm looking to try my best," Markelis said. "I want to try and play regular football and win the title."

The youngster's comments were echoed by Finkler, with the Brazilian aiming to secure silverware during his debut season.

"I think when you come here, I know it's a big club in Australia, the goal for me is to be champions, to do my best and my job," Finkler said.

Bru, who trialed with Central Coast Mariners in 2008, said representing the Melbourne side was a 'big challenge'.

"It's the best club in Australia," he said. "I've spoken to a lot of people and people have told me it's the biggest club in Australia and my impression is it's the biggest club."

Trimboli said it was exciting to have the trio onboard and revealed the two-time A-League champions were still in the process of finalising their squad for the upcoming season.

"We've got a couple of spots left," he said. "We're currently talking to a few people, so hopefully we're not too far away from another couple of signings."

Meanwhile, Victorian Premier League side Moreland Zebras have announced the signing of 2010/11 Victory Medal winner Grant Brebner.
