Nigeria's Ahmed Musa dazzled in the Volgograd heat as his second-half double secured a 2-0 victory over Iceland in Group D.
Birkir Bjarnason - 5.5
A willing runner on the left of midfield but struggled to provide the width which would have stretched Nigeria's defence.
Aron Gunnarsson - 6
A couple of cross-field passes got his team up the field. Did a lot of running and appeared to tire in the second half.
Gylfi Sigurdsson - 5.5
Set plays were always a threat. Missed the chance to put pressure on Nigeria when he skied a penalty over the bar.
Rurik Gislason - 6
Made some powerful runs with the ball at his feet, cutting in from the right. Couldn't produce a moment of quality in the final third though.
Jon Dadi Bodvarsson - 6
Worked hard and held the ball up well. Lacked options and support in the final third of the pitch.
Alfred Finnbogason - 5
Struggled to make an impact alongside Bodvarsson. Missed a decent chance from Sidurdsson's free-kick when the scores were goalless.
