The two parties took part in a gruelling ten-hour hearing in front of independent arbitrator Deborah Healy on Tuesday that wrapped up at approximately 11.30pm.

The hearing, held at the FFA offices in Sydney, came after Professional Footballers Australia (PFA) filed a grievance procedure with the national governing body on behalf of Griffiths last week.

The independent arbitrator is to decide whether the A-League club reneged on an alleged agreement to sell Griffiths to Chinese Super League Champions Beijing Guoan for $350,000.

Beijing began pre-season training on Sunday. The Chinese club want Griffiths registered for the Asian Champions League registration deadline date of January 23.
