To see today's Grand Final photo shoot with the Jets and Mariners...

The Jets are in the middle of contract negotiations with a string of first team players that could see a radically different team take the field next season.

But North wants to see his team-mates stay with the side that fought a gritty battle all season to make it into the final against Central Coast Mariners on Sunday.

"Because of how far we've got this season, you wouldn't want to break it up if there was a big change of personnel," admitted North today.

"If it was to happen, that would be a little bit frustrating but it's out of our control. It's up to the board, our owner and the coach."

He insisted the team was simply concentrating on winning Sunday's game - and would tackle the new contract questions once the season was settled.

"It doesn't bother us at all," he said. "That happens after the grand final and a lot of people are going to say it's disruptive but we're just focused on the grand final."

The Jets are relishing their first Grand Final and their runners-up position on the league ladder after a tricky season marred by off-field disputes.

"Little things happening off the park and people not giving us the full credit we deserve throughout the season - we've proved a lot of people wrong," said North.

"People were tipping us to come seventh or eighth this season - those people don't know football.

"I knew from the start that we were going to have a competitive side and it was just a matter of growing in stature.

"We've got some really good young boys and they're good members of the starting XI now. Our team has just grown and grown, and we've come through the finals as better people and a better team.

"We just can't wait to finish the last game of the season on a high."
