Palmer was given the all-clear by medics and released from hospital after he had been kept in for the night for observations after reportedly collapsing i his corporate box towards the end of the Brisbane Roar-Gold Coast United match.

Witness saw paramedics give him oxygen before he was rushed to hospital for tests.

However doctors have ruled out any heart problems - but Palmer insists he will now take better care of himself, and urges anyone with heart concerns to get them checked out by doctors.

"I was feeling unwell and had pains in my chest at the Gold Coast United game on Sunday, so as a precaution I decided to go to hospital and get myself checked out," Palmer said today.

"I've had lots of tests done and they have all shown that, thankfully, I do not have a heart problem. After this experience, my message to all Queenslanders is this - don't be embarrassed, be sure.

"If you suspect there may be an issue with your health, then get it checked out so you can be sure you're fine or get the problem treated.

"I wanted to be sure I was okay, and if more people did that then perhaps there would be fewer deaths from heart conditions.

"The tests I've taken have shown that I do not have a heart problem, but I will certainly be ensuring my lifestyle is improved so I can stay healthy in the future."

He added: "I'll be back at work tomorrow and it will be business as usual."
