Pantelidis was dismissed with a straight red on Friday night after an elbow to the face of Joel Griffiths as the two tussled for the ball.

He was automatically banned for one match after the sending-off but a disciplinary panel today added an extra two games to his suspension.

The defender will now miss the crucial clashes against Central Coast Mariners, Sydney and Queensland Roar.

Victory were already struggling to fill out their backline for this week's match but the suspension will make coach Ernie Merrick's problems even greater.

"Football Federation Australia Match Review Panel today handed Melbourne Victory player Steve Pantelidis an additional two match suspension to the mandatory one match suspension he received for being issued a red card for violent conduct," said an FFA statement.

"Pantelidis will miss Melbourne Victory's Round 11,12 & 13 Hyundai A-League fixtures against the Central Coast Mariners, Sydney FC and Queensland Roar.

"Steve Pantelidis will be eligible for selection for Melbourne Victory's Round 14 fixture against Wellington Phoenix at Telstra Dome on Saturday 24 November 2007."
