The 36-year-old is seriously contemplating a move to Australia, but is also considering offers from Europe and the Middle East.

“Michael hasn’t made a firm decision about where he’d like to play next season but he is very interested in Perth Glory,” said Glory coach Ron Smith.

“We have been proactive in our efforts to sign a player of his quality and think he’ll be impressed with what Perth can offer in terms of both lifestyle and football.”

Meanwhile Stan Lazaridis, Glory's marquee player, is still awaiting to find out his fate for allegedly taking a banned substance.
