South African International Philani currently plying his trade in the V League with Binh Duong is on the Newcastle jets hit list. The attacking midfielder/striker has been keen for a move to Australia and would be a welcome addition to the current A League champions Newcastle. The Jets have been on the lookout for a striker for sometime, and after a couple of recent failure's with Italian trialists and a bungled visa application for a Cameroon international, Philani could be the ideal acquisition. The South African was recently linked with a move to Adelaide United after impressing with Binh Duong in the ACL against the reds.
