WIGAN goalkeeper Mike Pollitt is on stand-by to replace Chris Kirkland for the FA Cup third round visit of Hull tomorrow.
Kirkland was replaced at half-time of the 5-0 thrashing by Manchester United on Wednesday having complained of being unwell prior to the match.
Although manager Roberto Martinez expects his first-choice keeper to have recovered, he may decide against risking him.
The Spaniard has already hinted he will use all his squad players for the cup tie, which means the likes of Jason Koumas, James McCarthy, Cho Won-Hee and Antonio Amaya may be given rare starts.
Provisional squad: Pollitt, Bramble, Scharner, Melchiot, Boyce, Figueroa, N'Zogbia, Sinclair, Cho, Gomez, Thomas, Rodallega, Koumas, Amaya, Scotland, McCarthy, Edman.
