GOLD Coast United coach Miron Bleiberg is confident that a leaner, meaner Joel Porter will hit hit the goal trail for the club this season.
Porter has yet to get off the mark this season and has missed a couple of good chances for his club in the process.
However, he is not worried and believes it is just a question of opening his account in order to unlock goals.
"I know I can score goals and when the first one goes in the others will follow," he told goldcoast.com.au.
His coach is also confident that Porter can fire in front of goal for United this season.
"Sometimes he takes the extra step. He's in the right places and he's making chances, so I am happy. He's lighter than last year and he's looking hungrier," said Bleiberg.
Porter will have to wait at least another week before opening his tally however, as United have the bye this weekend.
