TOTTENHAM manager Harry Redknapp believes David Beckham will still be good enough to play for England at the 2012 European Championships.
Beckham was dropped by England boss Fabio Capello this week because, at the age of 35, he was deemed to be too old.
Redknapp said: "I don't think David will give up. I would never write him off. I think he will come back.
"I wouldn't see him taking one last game at Wembley and throwing the towel in. I think he will play on. He could play at 37 for England.
"He never had pace when he was 21 so he hasn't lost that. He is just a fantastic user of the ball, crosser of the ball.
"He has been a role model for kids. He has set a great example over the years for every young footballer and every young guy in the street. Great image, top class."
