Romania were crowned Neymar Jnr’s Five world champions in Brazil at the world finals on Saturday.

Australian winners Ballers FC, from Victoria, competed against 52 other winning teams from around the globe in the finals of the second edition of the tournament.

The Aussies battled hard but couldn’t progress to the pointy end, with Romania edging England 1-0 in the final.

The tournament is devised by Brazil and Barcelona superstar Neymar, with a twist on the traditional five-a-side format, whereby teams lose one player each time they concede until one side has no players left or the 10-minute game concludes.

England knocked off Angola 1-0 in the semi-finals, while Romania were too good for Sweden 4-0 in the final four.

Winners Romania got the fortune of being able to take on Neymar and his Red Bull crew in an exhibition game too.

Champions Brazil were bundled out at the Round of 32 by Austria.
