The club received the offer earlier today but Rukavytsya was still happy to pull on the Glory jersey for one last time and scored in his team's 4-2 defeat at Queensland Roar on Saturday night.

Having only just returned from a week's trial at the Dutch outfit, he will now have to pack his bags - rather more permanently this time.

Speaking to Fox Sports after Saturday's match he said: "It's (Twente) a great club, everything's great, the people are great, a good team so I'll love it there.

"Hopefully I'll be very proud to represent them in the future.

"They've made an offer so now hopefully the clubs agree the terms and hopefully everything will be okay."

Glory coach Dave Mitchell said: "Nikita is a fantastic kid, a good player, a great performance tonight and that is what he should be doing.

"I wish him well and he's going to have a big career I think."
