Glory finished 10th this campaign despite Sage splashing out on his playing squad and the mining entrepreneur has subsequently called on former Fremantle Dockers chief executive David Hatt to perform a review into the club.

Hatt has completed the review which includes analysis of team performance, player recruitment, administration and Glory's stadium deal.

"I have a meeting with David (Hatt) on Monday but until I read the whole thing and see his recommendations I'm not going to say anything," Sage told The West Australian.

"David has told me it isn't pleasant reading. He's said that I won't like what I read and that he has criticised everyone from the top to the bottom.

"He's got several pages of recommendations and that's what will be of most interest to me."

Glory have also already made several changes to its playing squad with the 10 players including Andy Todd, Tando Velaphi and Naum Sekulovski leaving the club.

In other Glory news, Sage said marquee man Robbie Fowler's future at the club would come down to his family rather than finances.

Fowler and Sage spent time together last week on holiday in Thailand, but the former Liverpool legend has now flown to England where he will discuss with his family the prospect of him returning to Perth - where his family did not stay last season.

"We've said we don't want this going past the middle of March because we've got a lot of planning and he understands completely," Sage said.

"He's determined to keep playing and if it's not with Perth Glory it will be with someone else.

"It's not about the money. He loves playing. But he has to get fairly compensated for his status and stature in the game. He understands that we can't offer him what he got last year; it's significantly lower than that.

"On the other hand, he loves Perth and if he can convince his family, he would play for a lesser contract than (he was on) last year."
