PERTH Glory skipper Jamie Coyne is a major doubt for the club's A-League clash against Wellington Phoenix due to a calf muscle injury.
It is a big worry for coach Dave Mitchell as he endures a growing injury list at Members Equity Stadium.
Coyne was heading for a scan before the club decided whether or not he would board the plane for the gruelling journey to New Zealand.
The skipper told thewest.com.au: "It’ll be touch and go whether I play this weekend. If it’s a strain I might be able to do a bit of running tomorrow and play on Saturday. But obviously, if it’s a tear it might be a week or two. It depends on what the scans show.”
Glory will be hoping Nikita Rukavytsya, Adrian Trinidad and Wayne Srhoj can all shake off their respective knocks to feature against Phoenix while defender Dino Djulbic will have to battle jet lag as he is expected to return from a trial in Germany just in time for Saturday's clash.
