The attacking midfielder has been a big hit at EnergyAustralia Stadium since arriving at the club towards the end of last season.

He impressed once again in the Jets draw with Central Coast Mariners last week and is expected to feature at Members Equity Stadium against Perth Glory tonight.

Song's composure on the ball and ability to pick out a pass has delighted van Egmond but he has also stressed the importance of making the right decisions in the right areas of the pitch.

Van Egmond told au.fourfourtwo.com: "We know he can be a good creative player for us. He played a little bit deeper in the game against the Mariners.

"I think what we can do is stress the importance of not having so many touches in certain areas though.

"It's something to work on though and that's what we'll do."

Meanwhile, van Egmond is confident that Joel Griffiths can build on his scoring start to the season.

He said: "It's always good for a striker to get off the mark quickly and I think Joel is going to prove himself to be a top goalscorer again this season."
