Glory raced into a 2-0 lead on Sunday but were eventually hauled back to 2-2 in the dying seconds of the game against Gold Coast.

"I think we gave the game away," said Sterjovski."I thought we dominated for most of the game, especially in the first half, and I don't think they came into the game because they played well, we let them back into the game and it is very disappointing.

"There were some positives in the game, you can see we can play some excellent football and out of that we deserved a lot more.

" It is frustrating but we still have a strong belief amongst the group and our time will come very soon."

Coach Dave Mitchell was very happy with his team's first half display but not for the first time in recent history, was left frustrated at Glory's inability to hang on to a lead.

Mitchell added: "Our performance first half was exceptional, they're a good side and we dominated totally. It's disappointing to concede so late.

"But they scored (early in the second half) and I think they got a lot of belief from that goal.

"Up to that point, we'd handled them very well but when they scored, it changes the psychology a bit.

"They changed shape, went to five in the midfield, so with us, we had to cope with it.

"We sort of rode the wave and (held them at bay) so it was disappointing again to concede so late."
