SWITZERLAND

Yann Sommer (GK) - 7

A horribly misplaced clearance from the 29-year-old almost resulted in an early goal for Sweden, but he atoned for this with a fine stop at full stretch to deny a rare shot on target from Berg.

Michael Lang (RB) - 6

Sent off in injury time for bringing down the fresh-footed Martin Olsson, who had beaten him for pace.

Johan Djourou (CB) - 6

The former Arsenal defender was reliable enough on his first appearance of the tournament - there were no great dramas against an opposition lacking in invention.

Manuel Akanji (CB) - 7

Came to Sommer's rescue early in the match with a great block. The Dortmund defender looked comfortable with any situation thrown his way, until he flicked out an all-too-casual left toe to block Forsberg's shot, which deflected off of him and in. He'd had a fine game up until that point.

Ricardo Rodriguez (LB) - 7

Played in a very advanced position for most of the match, attempting to link up with Steven Zuber down the left. He covered so much ground over the 90 minutes, but he was unable to make decisive inroads himself sue to Sweden's tight defensive set-up.
