Scheduling difficulties meant that Melbourne could only host a match at its preferred venue of Etihad Stadium next Thursday, meaning just a four-day break between matches for both sides. Kick off is at 7.30pm AEDT.

Sydney defeated Melbourne 2-0 in Sydney on Sunday to seal the Premiers' Plate. FFA hasn't confirmed when the return leg at the SFS will be played on the weekend of March 6-7.

It will be an historic occasion on Sunday when for the first time a final in an Australian domestic football competition will be held in New Zealand.

Wellington will host Perth at Westpac Stadium, a venue Phoenix haven't lost at since October 2008. That match will kick-off at 5pm NZDT, which is 3pm AEDT and 12 noon in Western Australia.

Third-placed Gold Coast host sixth-placed Newcastle on Saturday in the other minor semi-final, with kick off at 7pm AEST (8pm AEDT).

The winners of the two knockout finals play each other in the minor semi-final, to be hosted by the top-ranked team on the weekend of March 6-7.
